Basaha was a Mass Centre of Gokhla for years. When Leela, another Mass Centre of Gokhla, was raised as a Parish, Basaha was attached to Leela Parish. When Bishop Kurien was the Parish Priest of Leela, he developed the area and started a school where regular Mass was offered in the school hall for the people and the sisters. |
