Bhalua was a sub-station of Chakai parish. Rev. Fr. Paul Kundorpallil built the mission compound consisting of school, convent, hostel and the Church which was blessed on November 28, 1988. Late Rev. Fr. Thomas Kurungatt became the first resident Priest. CSST Sisters render their service to the mission by opening a convent as well as a boarding home for girls. In the beginning of the mission, a couple of CSST Sisters used to stay in a mud house belonging to a catholic family at Bhalua for their village apostolate. |
