When Damruhat Parish was ramified from Agiamore, Chandana became a Mass Centre of Damruhat. Rev. Fr. Peter Goveas, the then parish priest of Damruhat and now the Bishop of Bettiah, constructed a multi purpose hall which was used as Church in Chandana. When Rev. Fr. Stephen P.K. was appointed Parish Priest of Chandana, he constructed a School, renovated the existing muti purpose hall as a church and constructed a good rectory.
