It was Rev. Fr. Miller SJ who bought some land in Gajhi-Gadhara and made a house. Rev. Fr. Miller left in 1943 and Rev. Fr. Morrison SJ came in 1944. Later, he shifted the Mission to Chakai. Since then Gajhi-Gadhara was under Chakai Parish. This place is about 15 Kms away from Chakai. There are 60 Catholic Families around here. There is a Chapel here built many years ago by the Patna Jesuits. Bishop Kurien has taken keen interest to develop this area for the betterment of the people and the society. |
