Garhi was part of Belatanr Parish for 33 years. The Sisters of the Holy Cross were here for many years. In 2005, Garhi was made a Parish. Rev. Fr. Francis Murmu was the first Parish Priest. There was already a full-fledged Middle School here. Later on, it was upgraded to a high school. Rev. Fr. Lucas Arulappa built a new church here and gradually the number of Christians increased in this parish. |
