The first Holy Eucharist was offered under a banyan tree on January 11, 2015 in the mission. The land, 6 acre and 59 decimal was purchased by Very Rev. Fr. Thomas N. M in the year 2013 and the compound was raised in 2014. Katoria village consists of 33 Santhal villages in which two villages namely Taroniya and Dhanwaran have few Catholic families. At the course of time, one family from Naiyadiha village added to the other Catholic families. There are 18 Catholic families now. At present the Holy Eucharist is celebrated in a small room where people gathered regularly for participating in.
