Aloytanr Mission belonged to Maheshmunda Parish. Earlier in 1985, this mission began with 8 Catholic families in a mud house. Church was built and inaugurated by Bishop Peter Goveas and Bishop Kurien, the then Parish Priest and Head Master In 1992. This Mission station was separated from Maheshmunda Parish and named St. Georges' Church in May 15, 2016. This mission consists of 18 catholic villages with 78 catholic families and 570 Catholics. At present, Fr. Daniel Soren is the parish priest. |
