Machitanr, a village close to Pathargama, was part of Baromasia Parish. Rev. Fr. John Kujur, the then Headmaster at Middle School in Baromasia got a piece of land as donation in Machitanr and started a Hindi Medium Primary School. In years gone by Rev. Fr. Jose P.K. was the parish priest in Baromasia, he fortified the land with a compound wall with the support of the Diocese. For a long time the school functioned like a non-formal school, managed by the teachers themselves. In 2014, Rev. Fr. Mathew Kuttikat was appointed here and later Sisters of Jesus (SJ) joined this parish to carry on the pastoral activities. A beautiful and spacious two storey school building has been constructed and SJ Sisters are looking after the school under the guidance of Mathew Kuttikat, the then parist priest.
