Baromasia was the sub-station of Godda Parish which was taken care by Jesuits in 1930. Rev. Fr. R. Bohn SJ constructed a village chapel in Baromasia. Rev. Fr. Thaddeus TOR, the then Parish Priest, initiated the school and a hostel in 1959. Rev. Fr. Simon Engler TOR was the successor of Rev. Fr. Thaddeus in Baromasia. It was Rev. Fr. Thomas Vetticad who set up the church in Baromasia which was blessed by Late Bishop Urban McGarry on March 09, 1974. In the same year, CMC Sisters began their service at Baromasia. The campus premise consists of Middle and High School, Health center, Boarding Home for boys and girls. Baromasia is the Mother Church of Ratanpur, Phulwaria, Latona and Kusumghati. Rev. Fr. Mathew Chennatt built the new presbytery. Rev. Fr. Joseph Murmu is the present Parish Priest in Baromasia. |
