Jamua Mission was bifurcated from Giridih Parish in the year 2015 after having acquired sufficient land by Rev. Fr. Thomas Marandi for the establishment of the mission. It was the desire of the Bishop Kurien to develop this area and to provide quality education. Rev. Fr. Stephen begun an English Medium School in collaboration with the Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Cross-Kottiyam. The school has received a good response. A few Christians from the town and nearby villages attend the Holy Mass here on Sundays.
