In the year 1999, an old Bengali house and the property, known as “Hari Bhawan” was purchased by the diocese of Bhagalpur. In 2000, Rev. Fr. Mathew Chennatt was assigned to this place as Father in-charge. This new area previously belonged to Deoghar parish. Rev. Fr. Mathew worked hard to make the Christian presence felt in the civil blocks of Jasidih and Devipur till the year 2008. In the year 2008, Rev. Fr. Joseph Mulloor was appointed the Parish Priest of Jasidih.

At Jasidih, the Mass was celebrated on the veranda of the old house. As the number of catholics increased, the need arose for a spacious house for worship and prayer. As per the need an extensive hall on the first floor of the new hostel building was built. Rev. Fr. Joseph Mulloor, the present Parish Priest, vigorously and enthusiastically attends to the spiritual needs of two FCC convents, two schools, two hostels and one Hospital. The FCC sisters do happily extent their support for the well being of the parish and the faithful. There are 150 Christian families with 900 members spread out in 16 villages.
