Tilabad is the third Parish carved out of the mother Parish Sundermor. As the parish priest of Sundermor Fr. Mathew Kaithara succeeded in getting 5 acres of land at Tilabad village close to Sunderpahari, he made a boundary wall, a presbytery and a multipurpose hall. He established an informal School for the education of local children and he also conducted classes for catechumenates. When Fr. Kaithara was transferred from Sundermor in 2011 he was appointed in Tilabad Church as its first Parish Priest. He constructed a School building for the Primary School which has now many children and the FCC Sisters collaborate with the parish priest to form a vibrant and faithful Catholic community. |
