Fr. Stephen P. K., the then parish priest of Khorimahua regularly visited and provided pastoral care for the existing catholic families in Tilaibani as its mass centre. It was separated from Khorimahua on May 1, 1998. Daughters of St. Anne from Ranchi started working there from 2002. Late Rev. Fr. John Hembrom was followed by Fr. Sylvanus Hembrom as the Parish Priest. Enduring the hardships and the little convenience of the residence, they were happy to serve and meet the spiritual needs of the faithful of this area. In order to experience the poverty of the priests Bishop Kurien often halted overnight with them which really encouraged and supported them. At present the parish has developed with more facilities, and the number of faithful also have increased.
